About The Author

Jack Kearney is a writer and former actor who draws from the well of his own extraordinary life. For much of his young life, he navigated the tumultuous world of a struggling actor in Hollywood, gracing the screens of iconic shows like *M*A*S*H*, WKRP in Cincinnati, and General Hospital. A trained artist, he was part of the inaugural graduating class of the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts at its Los Angeles campus.

Like the protagonist of his novel, Kearney balanced his artistic ambitions with the reality of "survival jobs," discovering that the world of commissioned sales was its own theater of unpredictability. Throughout it all, he was always a writer, crafting his own audition monologues and developing script treatments. Inside Out began as a screenplay—his personal Rocky—a vehicle for a powerful story he was born to tell.

Now in his 70's, Kearney has channeled a lifetime of observation, resilience, and hard-won insight into this gripping debut novel. He is a prostate cancer survivor and resides in Northern California
